The first time I played it, it wouldn't run properly on my PC. I got to try it out for a short period of time on my husband's PC when he would be away...
I got an upgrade recently and I decided to give it another try.
It's a beautiful game! I'm not sure if I have the time to go through it all, but I'll at least spend some time playing it again. :)
Every time I decide to spend some time with it again, I end up wondering off the main quest in pursuit of other goals, then play less and less until I realize that I haven't played the game in a couple months and never got back around to the main quest...
I'm usually like that too. For example, this time around... I decided all of a sudden to just walk everywhere. I ended up killing random stuff, exploring strange caves and gathering a bunch of item I most likely will never use. :P
With these types of single player games I become an explorer and don't necesarily follow the main quest path. :)
I also tend to spend most of my time exploring and doing side-quests rather than doing the main quest. *laughs* My biggest weakness with Oblivion (and Morrowind) is the need to collect things. I end up buying multiple houses so that I can display all my wonderful stuff.
Heck, in Morrowind, I installed a mod that lets you run your own clothing shop in Balmora. So, now, not only do I take all the good loot, I strip all my humanoid victims nekkid and sell their clothes in my store.

I make so...many....trips...back and forth....!
I'm rogue deep down... I like grabbing anything that looks shinny or expensive where ever I go. ;P
Maybe I can start my own little shop. lol
